Step 1: Cookies:
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 2 tsp vanilla
- 1/2 tsp almond extract
- 3 Tbsp milk
- 1 tsp salt
- 3 cups flour
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1 Tbsp SACO Cultured Buttermilk Blend
Instructions:
Whip butter and shortening together. Add sugars and continue to whip. Add egg, vanilla, almond extract and milk. Blend well. Sift together all dry ingredients. Add dry ingredients to butter mixture. Place in refrigerator for 2 or 3 hours. Roll out dough to 1/4 inch thickness and cut 3 inch circles. Place on baking sheet. Sprinkle cookies with crumbled Butter Fingers candy bar. Bake in 375°F preheated oven for 8 to 10 minutes. Cool one or two minutes, then push pieces of chopped Snicker bars down into cookies.
